Jeju Coastal Scenery, a Quiet Seaside Walk – Namwon Keuneong Coast

On the coast of Namwon-eup, Seogwipo, there is a beautiful seaside view that many people still don’t know. It is called Keuneong Coast (큰엉해안경승지). “Eong-(엉)” is a Jeju dialect word that means a cave or hollow under a seaside cliff. As the name says, the cliffs here look like they are opening their mouths to swallow the sea. On top, there is soft grass and flat ground where you can feel the calm beauty of Jeju’s coast. The cliffs are 20–30 meters high and made of basalt, shaped by waves over many years. Along the cliffs, a 1.5 km walking path shows the best of Jeju’s quiet seaside walks. The gentle wind, sunlight through the trees, and the sound of waves under your feet all come together to create a scene different from the famous Daepo Jusangjeolli cliffs. Walk slowly and feel the time and breath of the Jeju sea. ${[%tour|1889160%]}
