A Special Day of Diving in Jeju During a Busy International Conference Schedule

Kusano, an experienced diver, visited Jeju Island to attend an international conference held at Haevichi Hotel in Pyoseon. Despite his busy schedule, he made time to explore the waters of Seogwipo and enjoy a few dives. Bringing his own underwater camera, he captured a variety of scenes from Jeju’s underwater world, including beautiful soft coral colonies, lionfish, schools of yellowtail, and even a charming clownfish. Photographing the diverse marine life allowed him to fully appreciate the unique beauty of diving in Jeju. Kusano also brought along a 5-meter Surface Marker Buoy (SMB), a type commonly used in Japan. Interested in the SMBs typically used in Korea, he took the opportunity during the final dive to practice deploying an SMB in the water and compare the different styles and procedures. As the dives had to fit between important conference commitments, the time underwater felt all too short. We hope that on his next visit to Jeju, he will have a more relaxed schedule and the chance to explore even more of Seogwipo’s diverse dive sites with us.
