Five colleagues from Osaka, Japan, visited DIVEMAP to fully immerse themselves in the deep blue waters of Seogwipo. To make the most of this Jeju tour with some proper fun diving, they showed incredible passion by all obtaining their diving licenses just right before arriving in Korea.
Since they were staying at a hotel in Jeju City, they requested pick-up and drop-off services in advance. To ensure a fulfilling diving day, we hit the road early in the morning to pick them up from Jeju City. We then headed straight back to the diving center to run through the briefings and orientation well ahead of their 11:00 AM first dive. Being close-knit colleagues who work together every day, the center was instantly filled with that signature bright, cheerful energy unique to Osaka, instantly lifting our spirits as we prepped for the day.
Since it had rained the day before, we were a bit worried about underwater visibility. However, once we submerged, the Seogwipo sea greeted us with crystal-clear waters that far exceeded our expectations. The water temperature was perfectly warm, and despite having recently acquired their licenses, all five divers put on a remarkably stable performance. Thanks to their skills, we captured plenty of high-resolution underwater photos of these magical moments amid Seogwipo's dynamic topography and vibrant marine life. They mentioned being especially spellbound and deeply impressed by our second spot, Ganchulyeo (a submerged rock reef).
For our divers who traveled all the way from Jeju City so early in the morning, we prepared a local Seogwipo favorite Kimbap. Everyone showered it with glowing reviews, absolutely loving the rich, diverse flavors featuring spicy pork, anchovies, and bulgogi. After safely wrapping up two shorter dives, we returned to the center to warm up with hot cup ramen while reviewing today's underwater shots together. Bound together by a shared passion for the ocean, we hope this Jeju dive becomes an unforgettable memory for our Osaka crew. We are rooting for the amazing journey ahead for this special diving team!
